Lions in the Street

A Brief History of Lions in the Street: Major label signs band. Major label totally f*s over band. Band doesn't get mad. Band gets even. After getting the proverbial boot, Vancouver band, Lions in the Street holed up in their basement studio and recorded the e.p. Cat Got Your Tongue. The cool thing about this e.p. (besides the fact that it rocks hard) is that it's available for free at the band's website. Lions in the Street are another band that could get the rock revival label. However, unlike Wolfmother or Priestess who do the heavy stoner rock thing, Lions in the Street are making southern style rock that shreds. "Mine Ain't Yours" might be my favorite track from Cat Got Your Tongue. It sounds a little bit like some country fried Rolling Stones. I'm so in love with its gigantic riffs.
