The USA World Cup 2006 Mega Mix

The World Cup kicked off yesterday with Germany downing a pesky Costa Rica squad 4-2 and Ecuador upsetting Poland 2-0. The World Cup doesn't officially start for me until Monday when the US takes on the Czech Republic. I've put together this very special WC06 Mega Mix to get you stoked for the games and (god willing) celebrate victory. Some of these tunes have obvious World Cup connection, like the Bouncing Souls "Ole Ole Ole" or Gerry and The Pacemakers with a song popularized by Liverpool fans, "You'll Never Walk Alone." There's a song rapped by Clint Dempsey of the USA and a song about the goalkeeper of the USA, Kasey Keller, and the night he was in the nets when the USA defeated Brazil. There's a good deal of fromage with "Happy Happy Joy Joy" and "America F*ck Yeah" as well as a little dose of patriotism with Jimi's "Star Spangled Banner."
