New Single By The Press - Red Comes Ringin (Plus Bonus Tracks)
![]() Blogging is not an exact science. I have no set of rules to determine which bands I cover. Most times it depends on the mood I'm in. Some days I want to rock hard, some days I want to rock really hard, and other days I'm in such a foul mood that I need something to rock my socks off before it gets on I Rock Cleveland. This brings me to The Press and Friday, July 21st. I woke up this morning with an email in my inbox about the new single from The Press. In said email, the writer referenced my earlier post about Trader Joe's Ginger Creme Sandwich Cookies. That got my attention. Then, I left for work and had McLusky blasting out the car stereo. Things were going well until I noticed I had a flat tire and headed back home. While waiting for The Toyota Man to come rescue my car, I decided to listen to The Press and here's where everything came together: I needed my socks rocked off, The Press reminded me of McLusky, and I had time to blog. So, here we are. "Red Comes Ringin" from the Atlanta (via Boston) band, The Press, is an intelligent and manic rocker much in the vein of McLusky. It's got a bit of a bounce to it and moves in two speeds: frantic and down right mad. This is the right song for the moment. Sh*t, it's the right song for any moment (except maybe making love to your old lady). The Press - Red Comes Ringin.mp3 I've included a couple more rockers from The Press. Both of these carry the I Rock Cleveland Rockin Seal of Approval. The Press - I Like to Talk About Myself.mp3 The Press - Three Point Three.mp3 The Press are currently busy working on their debut cd. It'll be finished in Boston this fall and you can expect to see them around NYC this fall. The Press Net The Press Myspace |
