Awesomeness Squared: Cassettes Won't Listen Remix The Diggs

Why awesomeness squared? The Diggs debut album, Commute, was released late last year, and its mix of fuzzy nineties guitar rock and elegantly styled Brit pop has kept it in heavy rotation at I Rock Cleveland Headquarters ever since. It's barely budged on my top 11 album chart. Meanwhile, Cassettes Won't Listen have been banging out some choice remixes this year, including remixes for Dr Octagon and Midlake. Where the original got its strength from the interplay between guitarist/vocalist Timothy Lannen and bassist Robert Haussmann, the remix succeeds with a little UK garage style two-step beat and some sonic waves mixed in by Cassettes Won't Listen.
